lest our kinsmen in the country be taken off their guard and

fall into the trap, we publish this notice to prevent foolish

misunderstanding. Be it known that the present sympathetic

strike is a bloodless revolution. If we do not completely

achieve our aim, we swear that we will not seek our bread

outside.

This Kwongtung Province of ours has a number of wealthy Chinese who have returned home, and who now at big meetings

have been discussing such projects as the encouragement of ship-building, construction of railways, and opening of mines, in order to provide for our kinsmen who have come home

on strike.

Within a few days, as soon as arrangements are made,

the scheme will be carried into practice.

In view of this earnest general desire to help us, our

brothers and sisters need have no fear of unemployment on returning home. Let all hold fast to their purpose and let none be deceived, that our first enthusiasm may not fail and that we may stimulate the sacred cause of labour.
